Pre-recorded OPG and Lateral Cephalometry + CBCT Licensing Combo Course (DEN2, DEN4, IA24) information

  • Before you read the below information, please quickly glance through “Why should you opt for my Dental Radiology courses?” section by clicking on this link https://www.cbctopglicensing.com.au/about-us/#why-should.
  • This combo course includes the Pre-recorded OPG and Lateral Cephalometry licensing course (DEN2) and the Pre-recorded Cone-beam Computed Tomography Licensing Course (DEN4, IA24) and is open to Dentists, Dental specialists, Oral Health Therapists, Dental Hygienists, and Dental Assistants (with Certificate IV in Dental Assistance Radiography – copy required).
  • The OPG / Lateral Ceph course is approved by various state Radiation health authorities, including VIC and QLD, where training is required to obtain the OPG / Lat Ceph licence. NT delegates are also eligible to attend this course and apply for their licence with the NT radiation health authority.
  • The CBCT course is approved by various state Radiation health authorities including VIC, QLD, TAS, NSW and WA. ACT and NT delegates are also eligible to attend this course and apply for their licences with the ACT and NT radiation health authority. SA delegates can attend the course to prepare for the SA EPA independent assessment for licensing purposes.
  • Some additional requirements may apply in some states and regulations can change from time to time. Please check with your respective Radiation health authority to confirm your eligibility and any additional requirements before registering for the courses.
  • The main advantage of these pre-recorded courses is that you can complete the training at your own pace. You will have access to the courses for 3 months from the day you register and can watch the videos several times by rewinding and forwarding them to understand the concepts better.
  • The pre-reading material / lecture handouts will be sent automatically to your email address once you register and pay. Please check your junk email if you have not received them. The lecture handouts and related articles are provided for your reference and can be downloaded.
  • Once you have registered for the combo course, you need to log in to the website https://www.cbctopglicensing.com.au/ using your username and password to access the videos. Please use a laptop or computer with a larger screen rather than a mobile phone, as you may not see the green-coloured login tab on the mobile phone.
  • The OPG / Lateral Ceph course contains approximately 13 videos, which run for approximately 6 hours, providing 6 CPD hours. It also includes demonstrations of taking an OPG and a Lateral Ceph radiograph through video presentations directed and produced by Dr Sholapurkar.
  • The CBCT course contains approximately 17 videos, which run for approximately 8 hours, providing 8 CPD hours. It also includes a demonstration of taking a CBCT through a video presentation directed and produced by Dr Sholapurkar.
  • Once you have completed all the videos, you will be directed to the examination link. The examinations consist of approximately 45–50 MCQs, and you need to score at least 75% to qualify for the licensing process.
  • Once you have submitted the examinations, Dr Sholapurkar will mark your exams within approximately 2–4 days and provide you with the certificate of successful completion. You will receive 6 CPD hours for the OPG / Lateral Ceph course and 8 CPD hours for the CBCT course, giving a total of 14 CPD hours.
  • Please note that the certificate of successful completion is NOT a licence to take OPGs, Lateral Cephs or CBCTs. You can submit the relevant certificate to your respective Radiation health authority, and they will grant you the licence where applicable.
  • The examination is for those who wish to obtain their licences. Delegates who already have their licences can still complete the courses to upgrade their knowledge and obtain CPD points.
  • NZ delegates can also attend these courses to upgrade their knowledge.
  • After completing the courses, you will be directed to a feedback section. We would really appreciate it if you could please take 2–3 minutes of your precious time to write feedback about the courses.
