Pre-recorded OPG and Lateral Cephalometry (DEN2) + CBCT Licensing Combo Course (DEN4, IA24) information
- Before you read the below information, please quickly glance through “Why should you opt for my Dental Radiology courses?” section by clicking on this link https://www.cbctopglicensing.com.au/about-us/#why-should.
- This combo course includes the Pre-recorded OPG and Lateral Cephalometry licensing course (DEN2) and the Pre-recorded Cone-beam Computed Tomography Licensing Course (DEN4, IA24) and is open to Dentists, Dental specialists, Oral Health Therapists, Dental Hygienists, and Dental Assistants (with Certificate IV in Dental Assistance Radiography – copy required).
- Please check the terrific offers on the website from time to time.
- The OPG Lat Ceph Licensing course is approved by various state Radiation health authorities (for example VIC, QLD) across Australia where training is required to obtain the OPG/Lat Ceph license. The NT delegates are also eligible to attend this course and apply for their licenses with the NT radiation health authority. This course would be beneficial for the SA Dental Hygienists, Dental Prosthetists, Dental Therapists, Oral Health Therapists and Dental assistants who are attending the SA EPA assessments and for those who wish to upgrade their knowledge. To the best of our understanding and based on various reviews, many SA delegates (above) have attended this course and have cleared the SA EPA exams in the first attempt.
- The CBCT course is approved by various state Radiation health authorities including VIC, QLD, TAS, NSW and WA. The ACT and NT delegates are also eligible to attend this course and apply for their licenses with the ACT and NT radiation health authority. Please note that SA EPA does not approve such course, but it has an independent assessment administered for the purposes of licensing. This course would be beneficial for the SA delegates who are attending the SA EPA assessments and for those who wish to upgrade their knowledge. To the best of our understanding and various reviews, many SA delegates have attended this course and have cleared the SA EPA exams in the first attempt.
- Some additional requirements are required in some states and their regulations keep changing from time to time. Please check with your local radiation authority to see the requirements prior to attending this licensing course. Most importantly, please check with your respective Radiation health authority whether you are eligible to obtain an OPG/Lat Ceph license and whether you are eligible to obtain a CBCT license. Please note that the eligibility criteria for a CBCT license are not the same as those for an OPG/Lat Ceph license, and not all practitioner categories are eligible to obtain a CBCT license. Upon confirmation from the Radiation health authority, you can then register for this combo course.
- Please see the learning objectives of the courses below.
-
The main advantage of these pre-recorded courses is that you can complete the training at your own pace. You will have access to the courses for 3 months from the day you register and can watch the videos several times by rewinding and forwarding them to understand the concepts better.
-
The pre-reading material/lecture handouts will be sent automatically to your email address once you register and pay. Please check the date when you did the payment and check your email on the same date where you would have automatically received the lecture handouts. The lecture handouts link that we have provided is only to access the lecture handouts and related articles. These lecture handouts and articles are for your reference. You can download them. If you haven’t received the lecture handouts in your inbox, then please check your junk email on the day you did the payment and you will definitely find them there. Just click on the link to request us to grant access to the lecture handouts and articles and you will be granted the access.
- Once you have registered for the combo course, you need to log in to the website https://www.cbctopglicensing.com.au/ using your username and password to access the videos. Please use a laptop or computer with a larger screen rather than a mobile phone, as you may not see the green-coloured login tab on the mobile phone.
-
This combo course is structured in a sequential manner. You will first complete the OPG / Lateral Ceph course and its examination, and you will then move on to the CBCT course and its examination.
-
The OPG / Lateral Ceph course contains approximately 13 videos, which run for approximately 6 hours, providing 6 CPD hours. It also includes demonstration of taking an OPG and a Lateral Ceph radiograph through two different video presentations (15-20 mins each) directed and produced by Dr Sholapurkar.
-
Once you are done with watching all the OPG / Lateral Ceph videos, you will be directed to the examination link for the OPG / Lateral Ceph course. You then need to do the exam which consists of about 45-50 MCQ’s and you need to score at least 75% marks to qualify for the license.
- After you have submitted the OPG / Lateral Ceph examination, you will then proceed to the CBCT course. The CBCT course contains approximately 10 videos, which run for approximately 8 hours, providing 8 CPD hours. It also includes demonstration of taking a CBCT through a video presentation (which will run for 15-20 mins) directed and produced by Dr Sholapurkar.
- Once you are done with watching all the CBCT videos, you will be directed to the examination link for the CBCT course. You then need to do the exam which consists of about 45-50 MCQ’s and you need to score at least 75% marks to qualify for the license.
-
Once you have submitted the examinations, Dr Sholapurkar will mark your exams (within 2-4 days) and will provide you with two separate certificates of successful completion – one for the OPG / Lateral Ceph course granting 6 CPD hours, and one for the CBCT course granting 8 CPD hours, giving a total of 14 CPD hours.
-
Please note, these certificates are NOT a license to take OPG’s, Lat Ceph’s or CBCT’s. You can then submit each certificate of successful completion to your respective Radiation health authority, and they will grant you the respective license.
-
The examination is for those who wish to obtain their licenses. Delegates who already have their licenses can still complete the courses to upgrade their knowledge and obtain CPD points.
-
NZ delegates can also attend these courses to upgrade their knowledge.
-
After completing the courses, you will be directed to a feedback section. We would really appreciate it if you could please take 2-3 minutes of your precious time to write feedback about the courses.
